Statistical Evaluation of Different Prostate Cancer Treatments

Abstract

The three commonly used treatments for prostate cancer are: radiation therapy, surgery, or combination of radiation and surgery. Our present study is using real prostate cancer data from Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results program (SEER Database) to evaluate and rank the effectiveness of these treatments using both parametric and survival analyses. In addition, the evaluation of the subject treatment is based on the stage the prostate cancer has been classified.
